Check your internet connection
Make sure your device is connected to the internet, then try activation again.
Run an Office app as Administrator
Right-click Word or Excel and choose Run as administrator, then reopen the app and retry activation.
Open Command Prompt as Administrator
Search for cmd, then right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
Run the activation command
Copy and paste the command below, then press Enter:
cscript "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16\OSPP.VBS" /act
If your Office installation uses a different folder name, replace Office16 with Office15 or Office14, then run the command again.
