**✅ Step-by-step fix**

Check your internet connection  
Make sure your device is connected to the internet, then try activation again.

Run an Office app as Administrator  
Right-click **Word** or **Excel** and choose **Run as administrator**, then reopen the app and retry activation.

Open Command Prompt as Administrator  
Search for **cmd**, then right-click **Command Prompt** and select **Run as administrator**.

Run the activation command  
Copy and paste the command below, then press Enter:

cscript "C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft Office\\Office16\\OSPP.VBS" /act

If your Office installation uses a different folder name, replace **Office16** with **Office15** or **Office14**, then run the command again.
